Please read before placing your order
Minimum order for plants: £15.00 excluding p&p
Minimum order for seeds only: £10.00 including p&p
There is no minimum order charge for books or gift vouchers.
Delivery
Orders are despatched as soon as possible and strictly in rotation. During the spring rush PLEASE be patient. We recommend submitting your order as early in the season as possible if you require a spring delivery. Please note that some of the more tender plants in our extensive range will not become available until May at the earliest and we are always dependent on the weather. We will not despatch your order until all the plants are available unless two deliveries are requested, which may result in additional carriage charges.
We use an overnight carrier to ensure your plants reach you in perfect condition, but in any case of damage in transit please notify the farm within 24 hours of receipt, quoting the invoice number and the carrier’s reference.
Please indicate whether the carrier can leave your parcel(s) anywhere if you are not at home when they call. We cannot specify a time of delivery, so if the parcel can be left with a neighbour or in a garage, greenhouse or porch it will save you having to arrange an alternative delivery and ensure the plants reach you fresher.
IMPORTANT. If you are going on holiday PLEASE let us know, so that we do not despatch plants to have them die awaiting your return.
Postage and Packing - Plants and Books
For 2008 we have maintained our simplified carriage costs to make it easier to calculate. By working closely with our carrier we have ensured that the minimum charge for carriage on plants remains frozen since 2006. The costs below relate to next-day carrier delivery in the UK mainland only. For other areas please add to the standard cost:
For Northern Ireland and Isle of Man add £10. For Scottish Islands add £15.
For Channel Islands please contact us for prices.
Unfortunately we are unable to send plants outside the UK.

Postage and Packing – Seeds
| All prices for seed packets include the cost of delivery to a UK address. The cost of sending seeds to Europe is £1.95 for up to 25 packets. For orders outside Europe please contact us for details of postage costs and import regulations. |
Overseas orders including Irish Republic must be paid in Sterling.
Collection
Orders can also be collected from the Farm by arrangement between 10am and 4pm. Minimum of 48 hours notice required. However please note that the Farm is not open for viewing when collecting. Please do not cause embarrassment to our staff by requesting permission to view.
We are pleased to bring any orders to Flower Shows and other events for collection, except Chelsea where seeds only are for sale.
- Please order at least one week prior to the show or event.
- Please let us know which day you will be attending.
- Please pay on collection of the order.
Alternatives
When placing your order it would be most helpful if you would give a few alternatives, as availability of certain seeds and plants cannot be guaranteed due to excessive demand or crop failure. Where we are unable to supply a particular item we will do our best to provide a suitable substitute to complete your order.
Liability
All of our plants are raised organically by hand, specifically to grow in the UK, and every effort is made to ensure that plants are supplied true to name and free from pests or diseases. In the unlikely event of a plant failure, photographic evidence is required, and our liability is limited to the replacement or credit of plants supplied at our discretion. This applies only to hardy perennials within 3 months of receipt, and providing that the plant has been treated with the appropriate care.
Abbreviations
The following abbreviations are used in the plant descriptions:
PBR – Plant Breeders’ Rights
AGM – RHS Award of Garden Merit
8cm pot - These plants come in a small square pot measuring 8cm across.
1 lt pot - The larger plant size. These plants are more mature and come in a larger round pot measuring 15cm in diameter (and 1 litre in capacity).
Credit Notes
We hope that the supply of appropriate alternatives will eliminate the need for any refunds. If we are unable to complete your order, a credit note or refund will be issued at our discretion. Please note we are unable to issue refunds for amounts smaller than £5.
